Leisure Seekers

The Kwun Tong Promenade was originally a public cargo loading and unloading area. It was later converted into a public recreational space suitable for all ages under the Kai Tak Development Project.

At present, in addition to a 1,000-metre long seaside boardwalk, the area also includes various facilities and venues such as music fountains, special landmarks, multi-purpose plazas, and amenity lawns. The area is also equipped with a children’s play area and an elderly fitness corner, as well as various barrier-free facilities, so that everyone can enjoy the space equally. The design truly considers and takes care of the needs of different people.

Since its full opening in 2015, the Kwun Tong Promenade has been a popular place for people to spend their leisure time. By depicting the leisure life in Kwun Tong, such as children and adults enjoying themselves together and individually at the Kwun Tong Promenade, we hope to highlight the importance of physical and mental well-being, as well as the efforts made by Kwun Tong in terms of recreational facilities and infrastructure.
